Business background

Best Western Plus Rose City Suites, an apartment style, all-suite hotel, opened the first of its kind for business in Welland in 1990 and continues to thrive today. Anne Guillemette, general manager, has been with the hotel since before the doors opened and continues to be instrumental in the hotel’s success.

Management and ownership’s fundamental belief is in building community. Under Anne’s leadership, Best Western has been involved in creating bonds with local residents, visitors, professionals, business, and event leaders alike. The hotel continues to participate in, support, and contribute to many initiatives as it has since the beginning. Involvement in the community has been instrumental in the hotel becoming an establishment that local business and the community can rely on for their corporate and leisure accommodation.

“It has been a privilege to be a trusted and integrated part of the community. We highly value the respect of our community and intend to continue to maintain a recognizable profile in the region. The hotel has undergone various renovations over the years, including several interior upgrades, as well as the recent resurfacing and painting of our exterior in 2022. Our team is the crucial part of our success, allowing us to provide exceptional service with pride and being the foundation of our success and the role we play in our community. We have been accredited numerous awards over the years, including the Best Western International Chairman’s Award where we ranked in the top five per cent for quality assurance, and the AAA/CAA Best of the Best for cleanliness and condition.”
~ Lynn Goulet, assistant general manager
