Business background

The Welland location of Bosch Rexroth Canada was identified as a key partner in the company’s global expansion strategy and work is underway to optimize the Welland facility. This investment in innovation, automation, productivity, and environmental enhancements began in 2019. The significant changes coming to the Welland site include an expansion of the logistic centre, modernization of the manufacturing areas, equipment and processes, upgrades to the climate controls, and a renovation of the main administration areas. The logistics centre expansion is an exciting endeavour that will see the construction of a shipping staging area with four new loading docks and a transportation corridor that links the centre to the manufacturing area for a completely enclosed path for materials. The project is expected to be complete in late 2022 and staff are eagerly looking forward to the improved processes, teamwork, and efficiencies this enhancement will usher in.

“I’m delighted and proud to say that the Canadian headquarters for Bosch Rexroth Canada is located in Welland. As part of a vibrant and growing community, Bosch Rexroth continues to invest in both its people and assets, as evidenced by the current expansion of our Welland facilities. Being part of the engaging City of Welland gives us a sense of belonging and enables us to support and share in the perpetual growth of one another, our business, and the community.
As a local business, we help to create more wealth within the community, improving the quality of life for all and creating a more self-sustainable and prosperous Welland. A large part of our connection to the community is achieved by reaching out and helping those in need, promoting the welfare of others, and sharing our good fortune through charitable donations of funds and time. Our hope is that Bosch Rexroth Canada makes Welland a better place for all of us to live in.”
