With lots of construction along Webber Road in the western end of Welland, it can be hard to know what is coming to the neighbourhood.

At the southeastern corner of South Pelham Road and Webber Road, something big is going in.

Just the Facts

• Rachelle Larocque, manager of planning for the city of Welland, said construction began in April, 2021.
• The building will be a four-storey apartment building with 103 residential units.
• Larocque said the area was zoned for apartment buildings up to eight stories in height.
• There is other development coming to the area as well. On the northeast side of Webber there are plans for a condominium townhouse development.
• The blocks on the northwest and southwest side of Webber Road are zoned for neighbourhood commercial.
